York Racecourse lies within a mile of the city centre and is served by convenient road, rail and air access routes.By Rail York is one of the UK's major railway stations and connects with many routes. Fast and frequent trains run from King's Cross, taking as little as 1 hour 52 minutes. There are also direct trains from Edinburgh, Manchester and Birmingham. Once at the station it is a 5 minute taxi journey which will cost in the region of £7-8, or approximately 1.5 miles if you wish to go by foot.
By Air The nearest International Airport is Leeds Bradford (approx 50 minutes away) followed by Robin Hood / Doncaster (approx 60 minutes) then Teeside and Manchester International Airports (approx 90 mins).
