Osaro Erhabor

Erhabor Osaro is a Professor of Haematology and Blood Transfusion Science. He received his Ph.D in Immuno-Haematology from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology in Port Harcourt Nigeria. An Alumni of University of Greenwich as well as University of Sunderland in the UK and Francis Tuttle College of Technology in Oklahoma, USA. Currently Osaro works in the Blood Sciences Department of the Royal Bolton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. His experience spans both Africa and Europe. He is on the Science Council of the UK register as a Chartered Scientist and an Examiner (Registration and Specialist Portfolio Verifier) for the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS), UK. A fellow of several renowned scientific bodies including the British Blood Transfusion Society (BBTS), Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) and the West African Postgraduate College of Medical Laboratory Science (WAPCMLS). He is the Chairman of the Equality and Diversity Working Group and a member of Council of the British Blood Transfusion. A former Chairman of the Blood Transfusion Faculty in the WAPCMLS. He has authored 4 Scientific Books and 6 Chapters. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Sokoto Journal of Medical Laboratory Science, editorial board member and expert reviewer for several International Scientific Journals. He has received several awards and honors including the Margaret Kenwright Award from the British Blood Transfusion Society (BBTS).  His research area cut across infectious diseases, transfusion medicine, laboratory haematology and total quality management.
