Dipika Solanki

I am a highly experienced Transfusion Practitioner with almost 30 years in transfusion science and practice.
I began my career as a Biomedical Scientist, working across district general hospitals and major trauma centres.
Transfusion has been central to my professional life since becoming a non-rotational transfusion senior in 2005.
My role as a TP gives me a dual perspective, bridging laboratory expertise with frontline clinical practice.
I am a strong advocate for putting the patient at the centre of transfusion and amplifying the patient voice.
I previously served as Chair of the London Transfusion Practitioner Group for 2.5 years.
I am now part of the East of England RTC region and sit on the National Transfusion Practitioner Group.
I represent the digital arm of the 2024 Transfusion Transformation Strategy.
Alongside my professional work, I am a social media blogger as a cake maker and crocheter,  connecting with a wide audience from all over the world
As part of the BBTS Communications Committee, I am committed to safe, effective, and patient-centred transfusion practice.
