Brief Description: 
This session will be useful for a wide range of people involved in blood transfusion: Transfusion practitioners, haematologists, biomedical scientists, lab managers, blood service staff involved in supply chain, H&I staff, surgeons, anaesthetists. The session will focus on different aspects of patient blood management, from understanding where blood is used, to reduction in wastage. There will be a focus on PBM in surgical patients and an interesting session on the use of HLA matched red cells in patients listed for renal transplant
