
Wisdom Musabaike is Assistant Director of Red Cell Immunohaematology (RCI) at NHS Blood and Transplant, where he leads a national network of specialist laboratories delivering complex immunohaematology services to hospitals across England. He has over 20 years’ experience in transfusion science, with a strong focus on service delivery, workforce development, and improving patient outcomes in highly specialised laboratory settings.
He is a registered biomedical scientist and an experienced leader of multidisciplinary teams, working closely with scientific, clinical and support staff, and NHS leaders to deliver safe, high-quality transfusion services. His work includes addressing national capacity challenges, improving laboratory performance, and driving strategic transformation across services.
Wisdom is Chair of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee for the British Blood Transfusion Society. He is committed to supporting the Society in strengthening engagement across its membership, promoting inclusive practice within the profession, and contributing to the continued development of BBTS as an inclusive and forward-looking professional community.
