Welcome to the BBTS Patient Blood Management (PBM) Special Interest Group (SIG) page.

This group brings together professionals from across the UK with specialist expertise in Patient Blood Management (PBM). Patient Blood Management is a patient-centred, systematic, evidence-based approach to improve patient outcomes by managing and preserving a patient’s own blood, while promoting patient safety and empowerment.

The BBTS PBM SIG provides a UK-wide platform for collaboration, discussion, and sharing of best practice. Through this network, members can align approaches, exchange learning, and strengthen links between national, regional, and local PBM initiatives.
