Race & Sanger Award - Nominations Open

The BBTS has perpetuated the names of Robert Race and Ruth Sanger, who contributed immeasurably to the study of blood groups, by the establishment of the Race and Sanger Award. 

To be eligible for the award, applicants should be BBTS members and under the age of 40 at the time of application.  They should have involvement in research and development and be making an outstanding Medical or Scientific contribution to Transfusion Medicine/Science. 

The award winner will be required to give a 30 minute presentation at the BBTS Annual Conference and to submit an abstract to the BBTS Transfusion Medicine journal. 

Applicants can be self-nominated or nominated by a senior colleague and must provide a CV and summary of not more than 200 words detailing the scientific work they have undertaken, supported by copies of relevant publication if appropriate.
