Scientists and clinicians interested in red cell immunohaematology problems, the investigations required for resolving them and the provision of safe clinical advice based on the findings
Learning Objectives:
After attending this session, participants will be able to:- Identify immunohaematology problems requiring further investigation for resolution
- Suggest appropriate tests for investigation of complex cases
- Understand the clinical implications of laboratory findings
Brief Description: Several advanced immunohaematology cases will be presented in an interactive format. Test results to be discussed will mostly be serologically derived but will also include molecular testing results where appropriate to the investigation. Clinical advice and/or outcome will also be presented and discussed. The session will appeal to scientists and clinicians interested in red cell immunohaematology problems, the investigations required for resolving such cases and the clinical decisions made.
