Thank you again for agreeing to present at BBTS 2014 in Harrogate. As one of our speakers, your expertise is of great value to our conference in September. If you wish to be put in touch with any of the other speakers or chairperson so that you can familiarise yourself with the session please contact events@bbts.org.uk.
Your presentation should not have been presented at any other conference unless it contains new information and has been adapted for the audience in September. Delegate attendance is based on the advertised programme therefore we do ask that you follow the session outline/presentation title agreed with your session co-ordinator. Please adhere to the set timings of your session and the allocated ‘talk' time.
Please ensure that the first slide of your presentation will be the title of your talk and any Declaration of Interest must follow it. There will be PowerPoint facilities in all lecture rooms. You are asked to ensure that the font size is large enough to be seen from the back of the room. For example, a slide would normally contain approximately 6 lines of type in 30pt size or larger. If you would like to make your presentation interactive, please discuss your requirements asap with events@bbts.org.uk.
The speaker preview room is located in a room on the left hand side before entering the foyer area of the Queens Suite and is clearly signposted. You are welcome to use this room to check your presentation ideally at least 2 hours before your talk.
Your session chair should be in the room to meet you 15 minutes prior to your session start. You can then familiarise yourself with the room and equipment and you can try out the microphone to establish your comfort level.
Unforeseen circumstances can sometimes result in you not being able to present. We acknowledge this and hope that you would be able to find a replacement speaker. Please inform events@bbts.org.uk as soon as you can so that alternative arrangements can be implemented.
Please note that a copy of your presentation is made available for download by registered delegates post conference. If you do not wish to share your presentation for example because it contains sensitive data please ensure that you tick the box during the registration procedure which clearly indicates that you do not give permission for download
