I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible during the conference or at the President's Reception on Thursday evening, prior to our gala dinner'

Martin Bruce, BBTS President

BBTS 2014 is a key date in the transfusion professionals' diary/calendar, not only for the educational programme and best practice advice but for the excellent networking opportunities with our industry partners and fellow colleagues at the large exhibition and varied social events.

We return to Harrogate after a two year break with another exciting programme! This year we  have 3 key themes running through the 3 day programme and we will be specifically targeting anaesthetists in training and those staff who are involved in Blood Management in Patients e.g. pre-operative anaemia management, haemorrhage management and the use of cell salvage and viscoelastic testing.

Key Themes:

1. Blood management in patients and transfusion alternatives
2. What’s in the bag?
3. Diagnostics

Are you involved in the laboratory management quality or strategic development of blood transfusion? Are you involved in transfusion research, blood donation and testing services or in the use of blood components for patient care?  Our programme offers something for everyone whether from a transfusion service or hospital background, whether a trainee or doctor, anaesthetist, biomedical scientist, nurse, donor carer, transfusion practitioner, manager or haematologist.
