BBTS / BATB Specialist Certificate in Cell and Tissue Transplantation Science

The BBTS / BATB Specialist Certificate in Cell and Tissue Transplantation Science is a unique training package for staff working in tissue banks and laboratories processing haemopoietic stem cells.

The Specialist Certificate in Cell and Tissue Transplantation Science Training Package is available from the BBTS office, currently at the special price of just £20, and contains a study guide containing a copy of the training standards and the recommended course textbook ‘An Introduction to Cell and Tissue Transplantation Science'.

The Specialist Certificate in Cell and Tissue Transplantation Science Examination runs once a year in November. The exact date for the examination is on the up-to-date form available in Education Resources section of the website.

The examinations are open to both members of the Society and members of other appropriate professional bodies, e.g. IBMS. It is recommended that two year’s post-registration relevant laboratory experience is needed prior to taking the examinations as they should be equivalent to having completed 400 hours of study. The examination fee is £100 per candidate for BBTS and BATB members and £130 for non-members.
