The Blood Stocks Management Scheme have organised five regional road shows at various venues in England. Registration for these events is now open.
 
The Road Shows will be exploring stock sharing relationships and return of blood from hospitals to blood centres. Other sessions will include an overview of the BSMS in 2009/10, the on line blood ordering system (OBOS), electronic despatch note, together with two interactive workshops on aspects of inventory management.

The target audience are hospital staff involved in managing the blood inventory, transfusion laboratory managers, and blood service managers involved in the management of the blood supply chain.

The aim of the Road Shows is to share good practice and provide tools to improve blood inventory management.
